Here is some ideals I used to help keep me focused on dieting and exercise. I posted notes around the house that I would see telling me to stay focused and don’t give up. I also looked in the mirror and asked myself are you happy with what you see. I also logged down everything I ate to help discourage binge eating.

Building a home gym might not be as hard as you thought. Fitness equipment and home gyms are not bulky and room filling as they once were. Sure you can purchase a gigantic home gym if you want to but then you spend a lot of money and probably wont use it as much. People tend to look at something large and associate that with a lot of work and loose interest. Now days you can by weight benches, dumbbells, and exercise balls and do a variety of different routines. A lot of fitness equipment folds up or lays down flat for easy storage. Some people say “ I need a trainer to show me how.” well if your one of those people then you should have a TV and DVD player and there are many fitness trainers out there that have their own DVD’s to show you how.

Building your own gym is a great way to include the whole family. Your children learn how to build exercise into their everyday life. They also learn the benefit of long term fitness. The world is changing and fitness is going to be a big part of the future. I predict that one day homes will be designed to include a fitness room or gym.

I once read that by 2012 80% of Americans will be obese or over weight. That is very scary if you consider the health implications such as diseases increasing due to obesity. We can change it know by teaching our children how to eat healthy and exercise for a healthy life style. I have a grandson and I would hate to see him struggle with a disease that could possibly be prevented by just teaching health to him know. What do we really loose by not teaching them now.

Your mind and will are the most powerful tools in fighting weight loss. People have told me they can't workout today or I don't care I'm having fast food today. I have spent my entire life batteling weight problems even when I was in high school and playing in 3 sports, Football, Wrestling, and Baseball.
